ATKINS, VIRGINIA: ALVIN LEON ROUSE, age 73, died Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at his home. He served as deputy sheriff for approximately 10 years.
He is survived by his wife, Neita Rouse of Atkins, Virginia; one daughter and son-in-law, Judy Delgado and husband, Humberto and also their daughter, Brandy Jackson and husband, Richie, all of Leesburg, Florida; two sons, Ronald Rouse of Atkins, Virginia and Jonathan Rouse and wife, RheaLynn of Seven Mile Ford, Virginia; two sisters, Edith Wymer of Marion, Virginia and Ora Lee Snavely of Wytheville, Virginia; two brothers, Freddie Rouse of Mouth of Wilson, Virginia and Ellis Rouse of Seven Mile Ford, Virginia; three sister-in-laws, Marie Rouse of Seven Mile Ford, Virginia, Irene Rouse and June Rouse both of Marion, Virginia; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Steve Hutton officiating. Burial will follow in Middle Fork Cemetery, Seven Mile Ford, Virginia. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
