MARION, VIRGINIA: ANDREW ROGER HAULSEE, age 82, died Wednesday, February 08, 2006 in Marion, Virginia. Born August 10, 1923 in Currin Valley, he was the son of the late Curtis M. and Sophronia Watson Haulsee. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, worked for Coca-Cola for 27 years and was co-founder of Valley Vending where he worked until his retirement. He was proud to be a veteran of the United States Army and received the Purple Heart medal when he was wounded at Anzio Beachhead during World War II, and was a lifetime member and former commander of Francis Marion V.F.W. Post#4667. He loved his family, friends, and was a true humanitarian, who believed with determination, endurance, and perseverance, there wasn't an obstacle he couldn't overcome. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 63 years, Frances "Hank" Haulsee of Marion, Virginia; Two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Danny Barr of Katy, Texas, and Linda and Bill Bailey of Talbott, Tennessee; One sister, Sadie Pafford of Abingdon, Virginia. Three grandchildren, Audra Edge, Rod Bailey, and Michael Barr; Four great-grandchildren, Kaila Edge, Kyle Edge, Tyler Johnson, Aaron Bailey, and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 11, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Jeff Lambert and Rev. Neville Mozingo officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Francis Marion V.F.W. Post #4667. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
