Annie Thomas Bell

Chilhowie, Virginia 

Annie Thomas Bell age 89, went home to be with the Lord Monday, December 23, 2024 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Gerald DeBusk. 

Annie was a dedicated Christian lady and a lifelong member of Cedar Bluff Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, James “Jimmy” Bell; son, James “Jamie” Bell, Jr.; parents, Henry and Katherine Thomas; sisters, Brenda Eller and Mary Hamer; brothers, Wendell, Lendell, Darryl and Henry “Butch” Thomas.

Annie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Gerald DeBusk of Chilhowie, Va.; daughter-in-law, Tammy Lowman Bell of Atkins, Va.; two grandchildren, Scott and Ashley DeBusk of Abingdon, Va. and Kayla and Cody McCracken of Atkins, Va.; four great-grandchildren, Kade, Kerrington, Kennedy and Karter DeBusk of Abingdon, Va.; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Regina Thomas; sister, Juanita Marlowe, all of Atkins, Va.; many nieces and nephews and their families. 

The family would like to thank our precious church family for their love, prayers and support during Annie’s difficult last months. You have lifted us up more than you will ever know. 

The family will receive friends Sunday, December 29, 2024 from 1 until 2:30 p.m. at Fraziers’ Seaver-Brown Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Justin Hall officiating. Graveside services will follow the funeral service at Wassum Cemetery, 5549-5557 Lee Highway, Atkins Va.
