Ashley Michelle Sweeney Cook

Ashley Michelle Sweeney Cook age 34, loving mother to her only son, Logan Guy Haerer and devoted wife to Brad Cook, became the guardian angel of her family in the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 4, 2023 after a long and courageous battle with endometrial cancer.

Ashley was born in 1988 in North Carolina and grew up surrounded by a wonderful family. Ashley was influenced by her family to be a loving and caring woman. She met her husband Brad in 2010 developing an unconditional love for one another. When she wasn’t spending time with her family, listening to music was her form of therapeutic release. Ashely will be missed by her loved ones who adored her with all of their hearts.

In addition to her husband and son, Ashley will be greatly missed by her parents, Jerry and Sharon Sweeney of Ferrum, Va.; mother-in-law, Pamela R. Spangler of Rocky Mount, Va.; two sisters, Stephanie Lee Sweeney and Aimie K. Sweeney both of Ferrum, Va.; brother, Jeremy Sweeney (Donna Nance) of Greensboro, NC; aunt, Necie Spangler of Rocky Mount, Va.; two nieces, Juliana Buchanan and Sadie Nelson both of Ferrum, Va.; and lifelong friend, Amy Floria.

The family wishes to express their thanks to nurse Tami with Prometica Hospice and the team at Good Samaritan.

There will be no public services at this time.
