Audrey Foglesong Sprinkle

MARION, Va. Audrey Foglesong Sprinkle, age 92, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at Valley Health Care Center, Chilhowie, Va. Mrs. Sprinkle lived most of her life in Smyth County and was a very active member of Greenwood United Methodist Church. She especially enjoyed working with the children’s program, teaching, directing pageants and entertaining children for many years with Easter egg hunts at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, E. Stanley Sprinkle. Mrs. Sprinkle is survived by one son, Walter L. Sprinkle and wife, Rebecca; their son, Brian Walter Sprinkle; sister, Sue Thompson and husband, John; sister-in-law, Thelma Foglesong; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel the Reverend Emmitt Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
