Betty Kaye Greer White

MARION, Va.

Betty Kaye Greer White, age 62, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, Va.

Born December 18, 1959 in Marion, Va., she was one of eleven children of the late Roy and Stella Marie Greer. Kaye lived the majority of her adult life in Liberty, Texas and Cumberland, Miss.; later in life she moved back home to Marion. Kaye was a longtime employee of Franklin Corporation in Houston, Miss. At the time of her death, she was a caregiver. Kaye will be remembered as a loving person who enjoyed being around her family and friends. One of her main pastimes was working in her yard, especially with her flowers. However, Kaye’s main enjoyment was her grandchildren. She gladly shared pictures and videos of them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Tony Mark “Bubba” Raines III; brothers, Ralph Greer and Michael “Humpy” Greer; and sisters, Connie Anderson, Sharon “Toby” Dunford and Rebecca Lynn Dunford.

Kaye is survived by two daughters, Torie Michelle King (Mike Scarbough) and Jana Kae Little (Cliff) both of Mississippi; twin brother Ray Greer (Lynn) and brothers Wade Greer and James “Bear” Greer; two sisters, Anne Kirk (Jiggs) and Shelia Hill; grandchildren, Logan Raines, Joby Ty King, Lainey “Jack” Little, and Ford Little; great-grandchild Logan Raines, Jr.; the father of her children, Floyd Kenneth White; several nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Janet Atkins and Nona Sheets.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
