Betty Wagoner Tuell

GLADE SPRING, Va.

Betty Wagoner Tuell, age 73, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, Tenn.

Betty loved the Lord, her family and being Tim’s wife for 20 years. She was a loving mother and was crazy about the ones who called her Grandmaw. Betty was quiet and shy – you’d never know she was even in the room; but raising 5 kids, she was tougher than nails. Betty enjoyed doing her word searches, latch hook and listening to every Alan Jackson gospel song. Everybody loved Betty, and she will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mable Wagoner; daughter, Ruth Ann Hall; grandson, Dustin Shawn Baker; and brother, Jimmy Wagoner.

Betty is survived by her husband, Timothy Allen Tuell of Glade Spring, Va.; daughter, Viola Baker of Jonesborough, Tenn.; sons, Wayne Hall and wife, Kim of Marion, Va., Billy Hall of Glade Spring, Va., Paul Hall and Blaine Hall, both of Marion, Va.; sisters, Eileen Robinson of Marion, Va., Sally Wagoner of Atkins, Va., Nellie Gillespie of Seven Mile Ford, Va. and Linda Sasey of Marion, Va.; brother, David Wagoner and wife, Dorothy of Marion, Va.; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and her 4 legged friend, Taco.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 29, 2022 from 12 noon until 1 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Graveside services will be held after the visitation at Wassum Valley Church Cemetery, 349 Church Hill Road (Route 664), Marion, Va. with Pastor Adam Blackwell and Pastor Mike Sage officiating. Family and friends will process to the cemetery from the funeral home following the visitation.
