MARION, Va: BOBBY JEAN WIDENER, age 55, died Thursday, December 3, 2015 at her home.
Bobby Jean was a loving mother, wife, and big sister. She was always happy and free spirited, but she was so loving. Bobby Jean never physically had children, but as life goes she ended up choosing her children and they chose her. Bobby Jean Widener was exactly what a mother should be. Her children consider themselves very lucky to have called her mom. She was her mother’s heart and she loved her grandchildren. She was kind and selfless. Bobby Jean was the core of her family and she will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her father, Tony Louthen, Jr.
Bobby Jean is survived by her husband, David Widener; three daughters, Johanna Mitchell Ferley and husband, Mark, Latasha Kirk and fiancé John Hess, all of Marion, Va. and Nikeya Harris and husband, Kenny of Saltville, Va.; one son, Joshua Widener of Va.; mother, Betty Louthen; sister, Patty Spencer and husband, Lonnie (Bull); brother Eddie Louthen, all of Marion, Va.; seven grandchildren, Breonna, Jasmine, Jade, Kally, Kenneth Jr., Brooke and Bella; nieces and nephew, LaDona Green, Brittney Pennington, Carrie Louthen and Ed Louthen, Jr., Katrina Frye, Travis Frye, Danielle Frye, Zachary Frye, Carissa Yingling, Alexa Yingling; her glass eye, Seemore; dog, Pepper and cat, Alice.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Mike Sage officiating. The family will receive friends, Wednesday, from 6 p.m. until the time of service.
