Brian Joseph Field

Brian Joseph Field of Vienna, VA, passed away on Saturday, August 10th at age 71 with his children at his side. 

He leaves behind three children, Breana Field, Nathaniel Field (spouse, Dana Field) and Lilyan Dove (spouse, Jonathan Dove) six grandchildren; Noah, Olivia, Amelia, Vera, Hazel and Bonnie, a huge loving family and many admiring friends. 

He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Kathleen Keuhner Field, with whom he shared over fifty years, and lost just four months prior. 

Brian was born second to youngest of five children in Waltham, Massachusetts to Daniel F J Field and Kathleen C (Kelly) Field, but called Virginia home from a young age. He had many diverse skills, working as a painter and builder when his children were young and in internet network repair later in life. He bravely fought Lewy Body Dementia, astoundingly acting as the full time caretaker for his handicapped wife deep into his own disease progression. Brian's faith was a great comfort and strength to him and he tried in his life to mirror the steadfast, loyal love of the Lord for his family. Most famous for his gentle spirit, Brian will be with us every time we are generous to a stranger, or tender with all creatures great and small. 

We invite family and friends to join us in honoring him with a memorial service at Blacksburg Christian Fellowship (2300 N Main Street , Blacksburg VA 24060) at 1:30 pm, Saturday August 24th.
