ATKINS, Va.
Brian Carlton Hubble, Jr. age, 68, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at his home in Atkins, Va. after a hard fought, 10 year battle with cancer.
He was born in Marion, Va. to the late Brian C. Hubble Sr. and Peggy Shufflebarger Hubble. Brian was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Ceres, Va. – one of the prettiest views around. He spent his life as a truck driver for Kegley Farms and later for Lakeside Cement. Brian enjoyed football of any kind and on his good days would spend the day kicked back watching college or professional games on television. He knew his cars…especially MOPAR and Corvettes. Brian could drive by one and tell you the make, model and year without blinking. He loved his family and will be missed – but all are thankful he is now truly cancer free, watching over them from above.
Special thanks to Sabrina at Johnston Memorial Hospital Cancer Center and the staff of MSA Home Health & Hospice.
Brian is survived by his daughter, Laura Calhoun and husband, John of Atkins, Va.; son, Cody Hubble and wife, Kristin of Kentucky; sister, Penny Hubble of Portsmouth, Va.; 3 grandchildren, Michael Sheets and wife, Shawnee, Dustin Lemmons and Bentley Hubble; and 2 great-grandchildren, Raelynn and Keaton.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Brian's honor can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
