Brian S. McElraft, age 45 passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Va.

Brian was born June 3, 1977 in Marion, Va. to the late Toby and Sarah McElraft. After graduating from Marion Senior High School, he attended Radford University earning his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Computer Science; later earning his Master’s degree from Virginia Tech in Public Administration and Public Policy. Brian relocated to St. Louis, Mo. in 2016 where he worked as an IT Specialist. He was an avid reader, enjoyed technology and computers, and was a fan of science fiction. Despite battling kidney disease for 12 years, Brian worked tirelessly to support his family. He will be missed.

Brian is survived by his sisters, Julia Akers (Thomas) and Amanda Cassell; brothers, Christopher McElraft (Alameda “Diane”), Phillip McElraft, and Jerald Brooks; several nieces and nephews.

The family will have a private memorial service and burial.
