ATKINS, VIRGINIA: CAROL T. "PAT" HOLMES, age 64 died Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at her home in Atkins, Virginia. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and a dedicated Christian woman. She was preceded in death by her father, Ray McMillan, and one brother, Raymond "Butch" McMillan. Pat is survived by her husband, Marvin Holmes of Atkins, Virginia; two daughters, Cyndi Pruitt and husband, Jimmy of Rich Valley, Virginia and Elizabeth Holmes of Atkins, Virginia; one son, Greg McMillan and wife, Patty of Sugar Grove, Virginia; her mother, Jean Tolbert of Groseclose, Virginia; three sisters, Sandra Combs of Marion, Virginia, Sally Howell of Atkins, Virginia and Jackie Finley of Middlesburg, Florida; one brother, Rex McMillan of Groseclose, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Brandi Slaughter and husband, Clint, Jack Pruitt, Matt Pruitt, Hunter McMillan, Kanzada Holmes, Cheyenne McMillan and Izetta Holmes; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Pastor William Wagoner officiating. Burial will follow in Wassum Cemetery, Atkins, Virginia. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com.
