Casey B. Wood

Mouth of Wilson, Va.

Casey B. Wood age 73, passed away at his home, Sunday, January 14, 2024.

Casey was a family man – he loved traveling with his family. He was an avid outdoorsman and camper; enjoying much of that time with Nadine Rasnake. Casey was an outstanding auto mechanic. He was employed by United States Alliance for over 10 years, and was supervisor in the Space Shuttle Vehicle Recovery Program; the vehicle that put the shuttle on the 747. Most important to Casey, was being a loving grandfather to Nathan, and he was just that.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Alice Wood; sister, Laurie Wood.

Casey is survived by his brothers, Roger T. Wood (Laura T.) of Greensboro, N.C., James R. Wood (Jennifer) of North Brunswick, N.J., J. Scott Wood (Mary Beth) of Orlando, Fla.; daughter, Kelly L. Wood; grandson, Nathan Young; several nieces, nephews, and their families.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, January 21, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at Grassy Creek Community Church, 479 Grassy Creek Road, Grassy Creek, N.C. 28631.
