Charles Preston Wallace

LEBANON, Va. / BANNER ELK, N.C.

Charles Preston Wallace, age 72, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2020 at the Watauga Medical Center in Boone, N.C.

He was born in Virginia in 1947 to the late Clyde Charles and Mary G. Wallace. Charles never married, but had many "children" as an educator and band director in Lebanon, Va. His love and appreciation for the art of music was shared with many young minds over the years, and for that we are thankful.

Charles is survived by the friends he made throughout the years that became his family in his heart, including his best friend, Willie "Skeet" Beaver of Salisbury, N.C.; and his "band kids" and their families.

At Charles' request, there will be no services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to any school music program would be appreciated.
