Charles Willis "Nute" Sheets, 67, of Mt. Olive Road in Rock died Sunday, November 10, 2013, at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born February 28, 1946 in Sugar Grove, VA he was the son of the late Fred S. Sheets and Hazel Rich Sheets. Nute was a retired equipment operator in road construction and was a member of the Labor Union. He was a member of Princeton Moose Lodge #1521 and had been a resident of Princeton for forty years moving here from Sugar Grove, VA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Marvin D. Sheets; and two sisters, Martha M. Morrell and Alice F. Parks.
Survivors include two sons, Charles G. "Greg" Sheets and wife Hanna and Adam W. Sheets and wife Amanda all of Lashmeet; six grandchildren, Julie G. Sheets, Samuel Sheets, Daniel Sheets, Rebecca M. Sheets, Alexis N. Sheets, and Morgan A. Sheets; three brothers, Sherman "Buffalo" Sheets and wife Lois of Sugar Grove, VA, Joe M. Sheets and wife Jean of Princeton, and Raymond J. Sheets and wife Ann of Sugar Grove, VA; two sisters, Rebecca S. Bise of Sugar Grove, VA and Connie Hemphill and husband Jeff of Levelland, TX; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, buddies at Al's Catfish Pond, Thelma Carter, Marie Lowe, and Levi King.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Gerald McKinney officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until the service hour on Wednesday. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the Slemp Family Cemetery in Sugar Grove, VA. Those attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by the service hour on Thursday. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
