MARION, VIRGINIA: CHRISTINE LOUTHEN "CHRIS" BAKER, age 89, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Highline Care Center in Wenatchee, Washington.
Formally of Marion, Virginia; Chris moved out west to California where she became a lead instructor on ballroom dancing with Arthur Murray Studio which she continued to enjoy for many years. She also worked in the orthodontic field for over two decades. After a long working career, Chris traveled north from California to Washington State to be close to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat Baker; one son, Michael Baker; her parents, Joseph Howard Louthen, Sr. and Annie Lee Gillespie Louthen; three brothers, Nacy, Bill and Tony Louthen.
Chris is survived by one son, David Baker of Mesa, Arizona; two brothers, Campbell Louthen and wife, Hazel of Bristol, Tennesse and Sherman Louthen of Marion, Virginia; three sisters, Bobbie Mabe, Veda Kirby and Katie Louthen all of Marion, Virginia; four grandchildren; six, great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be private and she will be interred next to her deceased son, Michael in Douglas County, Washington State as she wished to remain close to him and the family.
