Clara Phyllis Cullop, age 89, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Francis Marion Manor.
She was a member of Marion Baptist Church and a dedicated Aunt who loved her family dearly and very dedicated to her cats. She was employed at Department of Rehabilitation for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Belle Cullop, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Doug and Lois Cullop and Elmer and Doris Cullop, one sister and brother-in-law, Naomi and James C. Buchanan.
She is survived by two nephews, James C. Buchanan, Jr. and wife, Robin of Marion, Va., Johnny Cullop and wife, Kathy of Modest Town, Va.; three nieces, Susie (Phyllis) Henry and husband, Daryl, of Madisonville, Ky., Pam Hart and husband, Larry of Bloxom, Va., and Susan Sparrow and husband, Don of Parksley, Va.; three great-nephews, three great-nieces, and two great-great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 12, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Reverend John Cullop officiating. Private burial will be held at Round Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 12, 2016 from 11 a.m. until time of service at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
