Clara Welch

ATKINS, VIRGINIA: CLARA MAE WELCH, age 72, died Tuesday, April 12, 2005 in Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, Tennessee. She served faithfully at Atkins First Church of God for many, many, years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Hobert Gale Welch, and a daughter, Bonnie McCatherine. Mrs. Welch is survived by two daughters, Sandra Ward and husband, Larry of Rockville, Maryland, and Terry Welch of Atkins, Virginia. Two sons, Hobert Welch and wife, Phyllis of Marion, Virginia, and Danny Welch and wife, Edith of Atkins, Virginia. Two sisters, Elsie Welch of Atkins, Virginia, and Gladys Wolfe of Wytheville, Virginia. A sister-in-law, Zelma Davis of Germantown, Maryland. Twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 16, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Neville Mozingo officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Groseclose, Virginia. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
