Claude Allen Taylor age 74, passed away January 16, 2024 at Bristol Regional Medical Center, Bristol, Tenn.
Claude loved his life – especially his family; he was a loving dad, brother, and friend who always enjoyed a good laugh. Claude was a proud Navy Veteran and cherished his time at the American Legion with the other Veterans. When he wasn’t working, he loved to play golf and spend time at the beach. Claude’s absence will be felt by many for years to come.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Gerthel Taylor; brothers, Robert Taylor, Jr. and Eddie Taylor; step-daughter, Tina Reed.
Claude is survived by his daughter, Dawn Taylor; son, Eddie Taylor, both of Marion, Va.; step-daughter, Teresa Reed of Damascus, Va.; sisters, JoAnn Del Carmen of Chesapeake, Va., Erma Bradley and husband, Malcolm of Mechanicsville, Va., Dianna Foster of Marion, Va.; brothers, Harvey Taylor and wife, Carolyn of Amelia, Va., Jim Taylor of Concord, N.C.; several nieces, nephews and their families; special friends, Freddie Jackson, Frank Willard, George Morris and Gary Frazier, all of Marion, Va.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 12 until 2 p.m. at Fraziers’ Seaver-Brown Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Mike Sage officiating and Military Rites conducted by the U.S. Navy Funeral Honors Guard and Francis Marion VFW Post #4667. Burial will be private.
