MARION, Va.
Cletia Maxine Moore, age 91, died Monday, July 4, 2016 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Va.
Mrs. Moore was a wonderful mom and grandmother, who loved her family, her Lord and her community. She was an encourager who truly enjoyed her time tutoring in the S.C.A.L.E. Program. Mrs. Moore was very active in her church, Grace United Methodist Church. She had a wonderful sense of humor – she was known to have even cut down a tree with a handsaw. She was a wonderful caregiver to her husband Glenn for many years. She loved to sing, fuss a little and was the neatest hoarder you’d ever meet. She loved life and lived it the best she could.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn P. Moore; parents, Oscar M. and Jettie Anderson Young; and sister, Betty Young.
Mrs. Moore is survived by two daughters, Brenda Boone of Marion, Va. and Kathy Sullivan and husband, Bobby of Troutdale, Va.; three sons, Kenny Moore and wife, Gerry of Marion, Va., Bradley Moore and wife, Cindy of Range, Ala., and Mark Moore and wife, Patricia of Marion, Va.; sister, Anna Young; sister-in-law, Betty Sue Moore, both of Marion, Va.; 11 grandchildren, Preston, Steven, Melissa, Stacey, Ashley, Chris, Shane, Mark, Matt, Candice and Nathaniel; 21 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
