Connielynn Vipperman Smith

MARION, Va.

Connielynn Vipperman Smith, age 59, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Valley Health Care, Chilhowie Va.

Connielynn was a loving person, she loved her family and friends. When she was young, Connie helped her family on the farm and in the store, but her passion was working as a corrections officer and trainer. Connie loved taking trips, especially to Myrtle Beach, and being on the move. What a joy to know she’s not suffering anymore and she’s reunited with her parents and face to face with Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude G. and Adrain Nadine Vipperman; daughter-in-law, Amanda Smith.

Connielynn is survived by her sons, Jordan D. Smith, Aaron J. Smith and wife, Michelle.; grandchildren, Austin, Connor, Olin, Caleb, Fred, Parker, Ellie and McKenzie Smith, all of Marion, Va.; brother, George Vipperman and wife, Melissa Ann of Marion, Va.; nephews, Zachary Vipperman and Matthew Vipperman of Marion, Va.; special friends, Theresa Thomas and Lois Faris; her pekepoo, Button.

The family will receive friends Monday, August 7, 2023 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 8 p.m. with Pastor Shawn Womack officiating. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 11a.m. at Blue Springs Cemetery, 168 Blue Springs Road, Rural Retreat, VA 24368. Family and friends are asked to meet at Seaver-Brown Funeral Home by 10:30 a.m. for procession to the graveside.
