Daniel Dale Wright, age 89, passed away Friday, May 27, 2022 at Rural Retreat Care Center, Rural Retreat, Va.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Peggy Arlene Bowers Wright; daughter, Deborah Lynn Cregger; parents, Bruce and Gladys Wright; sisters, Alese Bryant, Christine Wright, Daris Jones and Sue Lineberry; brothers, Jack, Clifford, Lester, Ray, Don, Ronnie and Jimmy Wright.

Daniel is survived by his children, Teresa Roberts (Buddy) of Galax, Va., Rebecka Freeman of Martinsville, Va., Keith Wright (Kelly) of Rural Retreat, Va. and Ricky Wright of Galax, Va.; sisters, Peggy Truitt of Elon, N.C., Betty Holder of Mt. Airy, N.C., Maxine Robertson of Elon, N.C. and Nancy Johnson of Galax, Va.; brothers, Hascal Wright (Ann) of Galax, Va. and Bill Wright (Barbara) of Providence, N.C.; sisters-in-law, Anne Wright of Hinesville, Ga. And Roberta Wright of Galax, Va.; brother-in-law, Jack Lineberry of Galax, Va.; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Phyllis Inman and Beatrice Smith.

Graveside services will be held Monday, June 6, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, 5550 Bagging Plant Road, Dublin, Va. 24084 where Military Rites will be rendered.
