Danny L. Kilby

Glade Spring, Va.

Danny L. Kilby, age 77, passed away January 11, 2025 at his home. 

Danny was dedicated to 38 plus years in operation management of various factories to include Virginia House Furniture, American of Martinsville and lastly, Sure-Wood Forest Products and was proud of his work. Danny was also quality control manager at Coffman Stairs. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, corvettes, deer hunting, fishing, farming and woodworking. He loved telling stories and his dog, Hound Dog. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Loretta Kilby and brother, Keith Kilby. 

Danny is survived by his daughter, Kim Kilby of Abingdon, Va.; son, Chris Kilby and girlfriend, Jana, of Glade Spring; sister, Brenda Cress and husband Roger “Porkie”; grandchildren, Jeremy Greer and wife, Bailey and Gracie Hammond; great-grandchild, Jordan Dotson; several nieces and nephews; best friend, Lynn Sawyers.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 5 p.m. until the time of service at Fraziers’ Seaver-Brown Chapel, 237 East Main Street, Marion Va. A memorial service will begin at 6:00 p.m. with Blake Frazier officiating.
