Dawn Ghere age 52, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025 at Smyth County Community Hospital, Marion, Va.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald McPherson; and aunt, Vickie Heitz. 

Dawn is survived by her husband of 6 years, Jeffrey Ghere; sons, Chris Schaal and TJ Schaal; mother, Paula McPherson; four sisters, Tammy McPherson, Gene McPherson, Kelly Miller and Wendy; one brother, Jerry McPherson, Jr.; and two grandchildren. 

 In keeping with Dawn’s wishes, there will be no public services.
