MARION, Va.
Dawn Wiles Hutton, age 95, died peacefully, Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Holston Health and Rehabilitation Center, Knoxville, Tenn.
She was born October 1, 1920 in Park, Va. to the late Ed and Grace Leonard Wiles. We are grateful for “Nana” and the fine example of what it means to be a Proverbs 31 woman. A woman of faith, love, and strength; an inspiration to her family for many years. She will be missed, but that too is only temporary, as there will one day be a wonderful reunion in our Heavenly home for us believers in Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred C. Hutton; daughter, Cheryl D. Shanks; brothers, Mark Wiles and Eddie Wiles; and sister Nadine Pugh.
Dawn is survived by her grandchildren, Chris Shanks and wife, Lisa of Knoxville, Tenn. and Melanie Combs and husband, David of Maryville, Tenn.; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Shanks, Mikayla, Will and Julia Combs; sisters, Louise Wiles of Marion, Va. and Lucille Gilbert and husband, Charles of Spindale, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Holston Health and Rehabilitation Center in Knoxville for their loving care and kindness they have shown to “Nana”.
Graveside services will be held Friday, September 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Lawn Cemetery, Marion, Va. with Pastor Harry Howe presiding. There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association – Eastern TN Chapter, 1545 Western Avenue, Suite 110A, Knoxville, TN 37921.
