Delphia "Duck" Duty Harris

Delphia “Duck” Duty Harris, age 71, passed away February 16, 2022 in Winston- Salem, NC.

Delphia never met a stranger without a smile on her face and kind words for everyone. She loved being outdoors fishing, camping, and anything to do with her grandkids. Delphia was a good mom, grandmother, “Duck,” and friend. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Harris; son, Keith Barker; parents, Bradley and Dolly Duty; sisters, Nettie Duty McCowan, Lois Ann Fields; brothers Haskel and Freddie Duty.

Delphia is survived by her sons, Jeff Duty and wife, Charlene of Swords Creek, Va., Michael Deel , Greg, and Jimmy Anderson; sisters, Betty Sue Hess of Swords Creek, Va., and Alice Faye Lester and husband, Russell of Honaker, Va.; brothers, Garrett “Buck” Duty and wife, Marcella of Haysi, Va., Hershel Dean Duty and  Ginger of Lebanon, Va., James Walls Duty and  Annette of Lebanon, Va., Danny Ray Duty and wife, Teresa of Council, Va., and Ronnie Duty of Honaker, Va.; three grandchildren, Ann Marie, Ashley Nicole, and Jeffery Allen; several nieces and nephews

The family will have a graveside service, March 12, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Frank Smith Cemetery, located off of Route 80 on Big A Mountain between Honaker and Council.
