Diana Kirk

MARION, VIRGINIA: DIANA KIRK, age 61, died Friday, May 29, 2015 in Marion, Virginia. Mrs. Kirk was devoted to her God, her church and her family. She was known to many as Aunt Di. Diana was loved by the children she taught in her Sunday School Class and especially the ones who would see her every day at her job in Northern Virginia's Nokesville Elementary School. You would never find a more caring or giving person than Diana. Aunt Di was the kind of person you just felt better being around…especially when she was cooking. Diana was a loving mother, wife and granny. She will be so missed by all of her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lena Belle Campbell, her brother, Carson Wayne Pennington, and an infant son. Diana is survived by her husband, Richard Allen "Rick" Kirk of Midland, Virginia; daughter, Tina Walters and husband, Rick of Marion, Virginia; granddaughter, Melanie Totten and husband Nathan of Marion, Virginia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia Harris, and husband, Ronnie of Chilhowie, Virginia, Susan Pennington of Marion, Virginia, Sherry Poston and husband, George of Marion, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary Pennington and wife Reba of Lenoir, North Carolina, Richard Campbell and wife Darlene of Rural Retreat, Virginia; brothers- in-law, James and Anne Kirk of Speedwell, Virginia, Ed and Sandy Kirk of Marion, Virginia, sisters-in-law, Gladys and Walter Call of Marion, Virginia, Geraldine and Ted Vencill of Sugar Grove, Virginia, Shirley and Corky Parks of Atkins, Virginia and several nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Valley View Baptist Church, Sugar Grove. Graveside Services will be held at Kirk Family Cemetery in Sugar Grove, Virginia following the funeral service. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 31, 2015, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Funeral Chapel in Marion, Virginia.
