Marion, Virginia
Diane Blevins Gentry age 73, entered Heaven Thursday, August 8, 2024 joining the family she so dearly missed.
Diane Gentry was one amazing woman. She had a knack for making everyone feel loved and at home when they were around her. She was an avid softball player, traveling to play, making friends wherever she went. Diane worked for Atkins Tax Service, and the Town of Marion – often called Kokie’s right hand. There just aren’t enough words to describe the love she shared in her community whether it was being the pool mom, the mom for advice, or the mom for fun and laughs – Diane was an angel on earth always looking out for “her kids.” She left a legacy of love for all those she came to know. Her beautiful smile, contagious laughter, heart of love and precious soul left Diane holding a special place in a lot of hearts – and she is missed immensely.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Gentry; parents, David and Edith Blevins; brother, Gerald Blevins; and sister-in-law, Phyllis Doss.
Diane is survived by her daughters, Stacy “Bubba” and Leslie “Punkin”; brother, Cam Blevins (Tracy); grandchildren, Brock, Brandon and Harper; special niece, Hope; niece, Brandy; nephews, Greg and TR; sister-in-law, Ann Blevins; special friends, Janet Atkins, April Mitchell, and Bonita Frazier; many cousins and a host of many other friends for many generations.
The family will receive friends Monday, August 12, 2024 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Fraziers’ Seaver-Brown Chapel, 237 East Main Street, Marion Va. Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m. with Pastor Chad Owens officiating. Burial will be private.
