Dolores Steele Dempsey age 85, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at her home.

Dolores was a loving wife, mom, and momaw. Her family was her world – especially her great-grandchildren; they were everything to her. Dolores will be missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Dempsey; parents, Sam and Ellouise Steele; brothers, Melvin Steele and Tom Steele.

Dolores is survived by her son, William Dempsey of Marion, Va.; daughters, Sharon Dempsey of Marion, Va. and Kathy Almond and husband, Nathan of Orange, Va.; two grandchildren, Jason Hash and wife, Sarah, and Casey Hash, all of Marion, Va.; four great-grandchildren, Jake, Carson, Tripp and Georgia-Kate; sister, Barbara Orrison and husband, Ronnie of Vero Beach, Fla.; brothers, Sam Steele of Vero Beach, Fla., Richard Steele and wife, Beth of Konnarock, Va.; sister-in-law, Alice Steele of Marion, Va.; several nieces and nephews and their families.

Graveside services will be held Friday, December 22, 2023 at 11 a.m. at West Cemetery, 1762 Stoney Battery Road, Marion, Va. with Pastor Mark Totten officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10:45 a.m. at West Cemetery.
