MARION, VIRGINIA: DOROTHY ANN SALLEY DAVIS, age 73, widow of John Davis Jr., died Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at her home in Marion, Virginia. She was born in Pennington Gap, Virginia to the late Herbert and Geneva DePew Salley. Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a brother Rondel L. Salley. She is survived by one sister, Nancy Anderson of Pennington Gap, Virginia; several nieces and nephews, including Virginia McDermott, Steffany McElyea, Michael and Jimmy Salley; several cousins, including Carol and Danny McCarter of Maryville, Tennessee, Cindy Guy, Seth Guy, and Megan Brown all of Marion, Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Jonesville First Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Humfleet officiating. Burial will follow in Millers Chapel Cemetery in Jonesville, Virginia. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
