Dorothy Helton

MARION, VIRGINIA: DOROTHY JUANITA DAVIDSON HELTON, age 87, died Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie, Virginia. She was born November 6, 1922 to the late Henry and Bessie Harper Davidson. Mrs. Helton was of the Christian Faith. She was a home maker with unselfish dedication to her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver "Bo" Helton; two brothers, Thomas "Buck" Davidson and Totten Davidson; one sister, Claire "Tumpy" Davidson and son-in-law, Walter E. Clark. Mrs. Helton is survived by two daughters, Jo Ann Clark of Marion, Virginia and Connie Cullop of Chilhowie, Virginia; one granddaughter, Penny Clark Everett and husband, Gary of Christiansburg, Virginia; two grandsons, Joey and James Cullop, both of Marion, Virginia; one brother, Eugene Davidson and wife, Phyllis of Wytheville, Virginia; her dearest friend Eleanor Burkett of Marion, Virginia; her extended family, Anita, Jeff, Alan and Charlie Fairley, Justin and Sarah Bussard, all of Maryland and Emily Everett of Charleston, South Carolina; several nieces and nephews, as well as her extended family at Valley Health Care Center, also survive. Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 15, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Dickie Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Rose Cemetery, Glade Spring, Virginia. The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
