MARION, VIRGINIA: DOROTHY W. WILLIAMS, age 73, loving mother and grandmother, entered her Heavenly Home on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at the home of her daughter in Castlewood, Virginia following a lengthy illness. She is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Williams.
She is survived by two loving daughters, Ellen Gay Williams and fiancé Steve Walden of Castlewood, Virginia and Pamela Sue Shelton and husband, Daniel of Castlewood, Virginia; two step-children, Thomas E. Williams and Susan Lambert and husband Don all of Marion, Virginia; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also survive. Pallbearers will be Todd Cook, Stephen Smith, Brandon Shelton, Michael Beverly, Daniel Shelton and Steve Walden.
The family wishes to thank April Hackney, RN for her loving care of our mother. We would also like to thank the PACE Program, Cedar Bluff, VA, Dr. Charlotte Townsend, and the staff of Home Nursing Company, Lebanon, Virginia for all their help and care.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Don Hazelwood officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
