Dr. Timothy Wayne Graham age 70 of Glade Spring, Virginia was born July 29, 1954 in Middletown, Ohio & passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024 in Abingdon, Virginia. 

He was a graduate of Lemon-Monroe High School in Monroe, Ohio in 1972, Asbury (College) University, Wilmore, Kentucky (BA) in 1976, Dayton Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio in 1979 (M.Div), and Lexington Theological Seminary at the University of Kentucky (D.Min) in 2000. Dr. Graham was a 32nd Degree Free Mason/Scottish Rite and was elected as Orator of the Class, and was a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. He held the rank of Major in the Virginia Wing Civil Air Patrol (USAF Auxiliary). He was a member of the International Conference of Police Chaplains and was the first chaplain the Beverly Barge Chaplain of the Year in the International Conference of Police Chaplains. Dr. Graham appeared as an artillery cannoneer in the movie “Gettysburg” featuring the ill-fated Pickett’s Charge. Tim served as pastor to churches in Ohio, Michigan, and Virginia. He was a counselor at Central State Hospital in Petersburg, Virginia and Southwest Virginia Mental Health Institute in Marion, Virginia. Tim was an avid reader of history throughout his life. He made canes for family and friends and was a collector of many unique items. Tim retired in 2018.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Lee Kinser Graham; father John Timothy Graham; Grandparents William & Emma (Reed) Kinser, Timothy Taylor & Maude (McDaniel) Graham; special aunts & uncles Cecil & Elda Graham, Andy & Mary Graham, Norma House; cousins, Belinda (Graham) Meier, Phil Graham & Carol (English) Herd.

Tim is survived by his was wife of 50 years, Jackie (Sisson) Graham; children, Wayne (Katherine) Graham & Rebeckah Graham; grandchildren, Stella Graham & Caroline Graham. 

Per Tim’s last wishes, no funeral service will be held.
