MARION, VIRGINIA: EDITH WELLS DYSON, age 90, left this earth on Sunday, October 17, 2004 to be with her Lord. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Louella McNabb Wells and was born in Loudon, Tennessee on October 22, 1913. She moved to Marion in 1941 as a young wife and mother, where they raised six children. She was employed by the Hosiery Mill and Buster Brown. She was very active in the Marion Church of the Nazarene and will be remembered for the wonderful cakes she made. Mrs. Dyson was preceded in death by her husband, Clint and a son, Eddie. She is survived by four daughters and one son-in-law, Frances and Al Ferguson and Debbie Dyson all of Marion, Virginia; Faye Chapman of Uniontown, Ohio; and Peggy Stuttaford of Sacramento, California. One son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Betty Dyson of Marion, Virginia. Six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Funeral Services will follow at 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Jud Compton and Dr. Mark Ross officiating. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at the New Providence Cemetery, Loudon County, Tennessee.
