Angeline Blevins Pratt

ATKINS, Va.

Angeline Blevins Pratt age 91 , passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Francis Marion Manor, Marion, Va.

She was a native of Cleghorn Valley and lived most of her life in Atkins, Va. Angeline was a hard working woman who loved her family dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James Walter “Slick” Pratt; parents, Uriah and Mary Blevins; and sister, Mary Jane Robbins.

Mrs. Pratt is survived by her son, C.W. Pratt and wife, Shirley; daughter, Norma Teaters all of Atkins, Va.; four grandchildren, Dr. Houston Teaters and wife, Jodi Teaters of Christiansburg, Va., Jessica Teaters Martin and husband, David Martin of Radford, Va., Jason Pratt and wife, Dr. Paige Pratt of Atkins, Va., Sara Carty and husband, Gil “Homer” Carty of Wytheville; eight great-grandchildren, Eli, Nate and Ben Teaters, Everett Martin, Elizabeth Pratt, Garrett Pratt, Sierra Carty and Grace Carty; sisters, Barbara McClure and husband Gerald McClure, Betty Riley and husband, Johnny Riley all of Chilhowie, Va.; several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to Thank Teresa Brown, Keith Prater, and all the staff of Francis Marion Manor for their loving care of Mrs. Pratt.

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 12 until 2 p.m. at Seaver Brown Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Mike Sage officiating. Burial will follow in Wassum Cemetery, 5549 – 5557 Lee Highway, Atkins, Va. 24311.
