MARION, Va.
Elizabeth Christine Cook, age 57, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 at her home.
Christine was a good sister, mother, grandmother and friend. When she wasn't working at Walmart, she loved to be working in her flowers and canning. Christine was a country girl who enjoyed being outside – fishing and more than anything, loving her family. Chris will be missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Roberta Armstrong.
Christine is survived by her significant other and special friend, Lloyd Blevins, Jr. of Marion, Va.; daughter, Amanda Evans and special friend, James Shannon of Cedar Bluff, Va.; son, Adam Evans and wife, Melanie of Abingdon, Va.; her #1 child, Baxter the Schnauzer; sisters, Nancy Craig and husband, Carlton, Kathleen Evans, Cynthia Bennett and husband, Jobey; brother, Eddie Armstrong and wife, Jennifer, all of Marion, Va.; grandchildren, Amber Dawson, Samantha Evans, and Faith Evans; great-grandson, Zachary Perry; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 07, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Pastor Mike Sage officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgedale Cemetery, Rich Valley, Va. The family will receive friends Monday, May 06, 2019 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
