Elizabeth Thomas age 80, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024 at Valley Healthcare Center, Chilhowie, Va.

Elizabeth was born in Black Hawk, SD. She was a devoted wife, a wonderful Mother, and a “Mom-Mom.” Elizabeth was a woman who lived life fully and loved wholeheartedly. She had an unmatched passion for bringing people together. She knew the magic of creating memories, whether it was a camping trip under the stars, a festive party filled with laughter, or a simple gathering of family and friends. She found joy in the crackling of a campfire, or sitting around a table forming bonds over meals prepared with love. Her love for celebrations wasn’t just about get-togethers; it was mostly about the people, the connections, and the love shared in those moments. She made everyone feel welcomed, valued, and at home. Her energy was magnetic, she could light up a room with her smile and infectious laugh. But at the core of everything she did was her faith. Elizabeth lived as an example of kindness, humility, and grace. She carried her faith in her heart and actions, showing us all what it meant to love and serve unconditionally. Her belief in God gave her strength in hard times and made her a source of comfort and wisdom for so many. While we will miss her dearly, her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched. She taught us to find joy in the little things, to cherish the beauty of community, and to hold tightly to our faith in every season of life. We will honor her by carrying forward the lessons she taught us: to gather, celebrate, and love deeply. May her memory be the light that guides us, just as her life was a shining example of love and faith. Rest in peace, you will be forever loved and remembered.
