MARION, VIRGINIA: ERNEST RICHARD "JACK" MARTIN, age 90, died Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at his home in Marion, Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Nannie Belle Martin of Marion, Virginia; Three daughters, Patricia Ann Snider of Timmonsville, South Carolina, Mary Lynn Brown and Linda Faith Griffin both of Marion, Virginia; Three sons, Richard C. Martin of Highlands Ranch Colorado, Terry Zane Martin of Chilhowie, Virginia, and Hansford Eugene "Gene" Arnold of Hillsville, Virginia. Two sisters, Alene Walker of Roanoke, Virginia and Mozelle Shannon of Glade Spring, Virginia; Thirteen grandchildren, including a special grandchild, Michelle Powers, who he raised; and thirteen great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 22, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Howell Scott and Chaplain Brenda Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Gardens, Rural Retreat, Virginia. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
