Frances Stephenson

MARION VIRGINIA; FRANCES MARTIN STEPHENSON, age 91 died Sunday July 3, 2005 at Francis Marion Manor, Marion, Virginia. She was born in Roanoke, Virginia to the late Samuel Morris and Edna Coppridge Martin. Mrs. Stephenson was a longtime member of Royal Oak Presbyterian Church, Marion, Virginia. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Stafford Stephenson, two brothers and one sister. Survivors include one daughter Sandra Archer of Peoria, Arizona; two sons and daughters in-law, Morris G. Stephenson and wife Hazel of Ferrum Virginia, W. Stafford Stephenson and wife Tess, of High Point, North Carolina. Ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, four step- grandchildren, five step-great grandchildren, two step-great great grandchildren and her special care givers also survive. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at Royal Oak Presbyterian Church, Marion, Virginia at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Marion, Virginia. The family will receive friends Tuesday July 5, 2005 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Seaver-Brown Chapel, Marion, Virginia. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to The Royal Oak Presbyterian Church, 139 W. Main Street, Marion, Virginia 24354.
