Garnett Hall

MARION, VIRGINIA: GARNETT LEE HALL, age 93, died Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Francis Marion Manor in Marion, Virginia. He was born June 7, 1917 to the late Steve and Ida Cline Hall in Smyth County, Virginia. Garnett served in the Army and was a Veteran of World War II. He was retired from Brunswick Corporation and was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Kate Carrico Hall; two sisters, Ada Hall and Catherine Rich; and one brother, Ryburn Hall. Garnett is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Douglas Price and one son and daughter-in-law, Harley and Cornelia Hall, all of Marion, Virginia; one sister, Edith Robinette of Atkins, Virginia; three grandchildren, Charles Hall, Joey Hall and Dena Price Aker. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Gary Trout and Reverend Kenny Price officiating. Burial will follow in Slemp Cemetery in Sugar Grove, Virginia with Military Rites conducted by Marion VFW Post #4667.
