SEVEN MILE FORD, VIRGINIA: GILMER ERNEST CAUDILL, age 70, died Monday, March 18, 2013 at his home in Seven Mile Ford, Virginia.
Gilmer was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He served in the U S Army during the war in Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Delmer Caudill; sister, Betty Lou Sanders; and parents, Garfield and Elizabeth Hash Caudill.
He is survived by his wife, Brigid A. Caudill of Seven Mile Ford, Virginia; one daughter, Tabitha Leeanna Louk and husband, Joseph Louk of Chilhowie, Virginia; one step-daughter, Jeanne A. Watson and husband, Paul Watson of Stuarts Draft, Virginia; one granddaughter, Shelby Leeanna Louk and one step-grandson, Stephen Tyler Watson; and special best friend, Eddy Alley.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Steven Lester officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens, Abingdon, Virginia with Military Rites conducted by Francis Marion VFW Post #4667. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the home and again Thursday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
