Glen Billings

MARION, VIRGINIA: GLEN R. BILLINGS, age 78, died Tuesday, February 22, 2005 in Smyth County Community Hospital. He was a member of Valley View Baptist Church and was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Mr. Billings was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the United States Army. He was also a lifetime member of the Francis Marion VFW Post # 4667. He is survived by his wife, Mary F. Billings of Marion, Virginia. Two daughters and two sons-in-law, Joyce and Rick Hanshew of Marion, Virginia; and Catherine and Mike Livesay of Salem, Virginia. Three sons and three daughters-in-law, Callie Joe and Grace Billings; Glen Scott and Crystal Billings both of Marion, Virginia; and Bane L. and Denise Billings of Rural Retreat, Virginia. One brother and sister-in-law, Bane Edward and Vange Billings of Marion, Virginia. Five grandchildren, Tiffany Steele, Brett Hanshew, Katie and Joey Billings, and Tyler Livesay, and two expected grandchildren, Willow and Wyatt Billings, and also his beloved dog "Tiny". Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. The Family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
