MARION, VIRGINIA: GLENNA ELLEN TUELL ELLEDGE, age 75, died Monday, August 28, 2006 at her home in Marion, Virginia. She retired from Southwest Virginia Mental Health Institute, and worked for the local newspaper for twenty-three and a half years. She was a national and state award winning journalist. She had been listed in the Who's Who, and was Chairman of the Good Citizen of the Year Program. She was also a member of the DAR, The Colonial Dames of the XVII Century, and of the James Town Society. Mrs. Elledge is survived by two sons, Carl Gene Elledge of Chilhowie, Virginia and Bucky Elledge of Marion, Virginia; two brothers, Ramsey Marcus Tuell of San Marcos, California and Troy E. Tuell of Clanton, Alabama. Five grandchildren, one step-grandchild, one great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services with be held on Thursday, August 31, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Burial will follow in Laurel Springs Cemetery in Marion, Virginia. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
