Harold "Rhudy" Hester, age 91, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Valley Health Care Center, Chilhowie, Va.
Rhudy was a quiet man who never had much to say, but when he did, it was usually worth listening to. Rhudy loved his Radio Hill land - walking around or tinkering on his tractor. He was a good man and will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Kate Hester; brothers, William Hester, Joe Hester, Tom Hester and Roy Hester.
Rhudy is survived by nephews and nieces, Gary Hester and wife, Sherry of Marion, Va., Dwight Hester and wife, Polly of Wytheville, Va., Becky Blakenbeckler and husband, Joey of Chilhowie, Va., Barbara Parrish and husband, Steve of Chesterfield, Va., Mike Hester and wife, Ann of Georgia, Mark Hester and wife, Angie of Marion, Va. and Ricky Hester of Chilhowie, Va.; two special caregivers, Kenny Edwards and Bobby Hickingbottom.
