SUGAR GROVE, Va.
Hattie Parks Cullop age 76, went to be with the Heavenly Father, Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at her home.
Hattie was a family orientated woman who loved unconditionally and her children thought of her as a saint among mothers. She was an “adopted mother” to many in the community, frequently bringing in and taking care of those in need. She was just a wonderful, nurturing, caring person, often referred to as her families “earthly angel.” Hattie enjoyed sewing, making quilts and she loved studying her bible, strengthening her faith. There was not another woman like our Hattie, and she will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Cullop; son, Michael Parks; parents, Richard and Ollie Parks; sister, Virginia Salts; and brother, Danny Parks.
Hattie is survived by her daughter, Lisa Reedy; sons, Steve Parks and James Parks Jr.; sisters, Zetta Hicks Anderson, Dorothy Grindstaff and Lori Martin; seven grandchildren, Samantha Amos, Jessie James Parks, Whitney Marie Parks, Kimberly Parks, Jeremy Meek, William Meek and Karly Memitt;six great-grandchildren, Sadie Amos, Cassidy Parks, Emily Gilley, Gracie Hayes, Ava Hayes and Kinsley Memitt; special cousin, Frances “Cookie” Johnson; special friend of 60 years, James Parks Sr.; and several nieces, nephews and their families.
In keeping with Hattie’s wishes, there will be no public services.
