Hazel Pruitt

MARION - Pruitt. Hazel Marie (Pruitt), 84, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother entered into eternal grace on November 29, 2008. Born the middle daughter of Robert Clyde and Emma Jane (Buchanan) Jackson in Plum Tree, North Carolina, Hazel married Thearl Pruitt on March 17, 1945 and considered her 5 children her greatest blessing. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Fred, Frank and Carl, son Gary and daughter Rosemarie. Survived by sisters Addie Brooks of Marion, VA. Lola Pruitt of Valley City, Ohio, sons Larry of Pleasanton, KS and Robert of Ft. Chiswell, Va., daughter Pamela Pruitt-Baker of Andover, KS, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Rev. David Neitch officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial at Thomas Cemetery on Wednesday December 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com.
