SUGAR GROVE, VIRGINIA: HELEN HUTTON BROWN, age 84, went to be with the Lord and reunite with her beloved husband, Howard Brown, Thursday, May 6, 2004 in Smyth County Community Hospital. She was a member of Carmi Baptist Church where she attended faithfully until her illness and was employed by Harwood Manufacturing Company for many years. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Loretta Boyd and Ruth Shupe. Mrs. Brown is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Richard Brewer of the Camp Community in Sugar Grove, Virginia. Three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Ruby Parks, Wilma and Colonel Shupe, and Anne and Junior Parsons all of Sugar Grove, Virginia. One brother and sister-in-law, Gale and Grace Hutton of Sugar Grove, Virginia. Several loving nieces, nephews, and faithful in laws from the Brown and Pugh families also survive. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 8, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Carmi Baptist Church, Camp, Virginia with Rev. John Pruett, Rev. Kenny Price, and Rev. Allen Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in Hutton-Cox Cemetery, Sugar Grove, Virginia. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
