Carol Anderson Musser

Carol Anderson Musser age 80, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023 at her home.

Carol was a loving wife, mom, granny, sister, and friend. She worked hand in hand with her husband, Mike to found Musser Lumber Company in Rural Retreat. Carol absolutely adored her family. She loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Cedar Bluff Baptist Church for many years. Her gift of growing beautiful flowers was obvious as soon as you saw her home. Carol was a strong lady with a wonderful smile and gentle way, and she will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Bess Anderson; daughter, Robin Musser; grandson, Thomas Musser; and sister, Pansy Anderson Fulton.

Carol is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Mike Musser; sons Mick Musser and wife, Melissa and Ed Musser and wife, Lisa, all of Rural Retreat, Va.; sister, Nancy Keyes of Corbin, Ky.; five grandchildren, Garret, Matthew, Andrew, Abby and Ben; several nieces and nephews; and special caregiver, Deyni, Mona, and Beth.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 12 until 2 p.m. at Cedar Bluff Baptist Church, 132 Churchland Drive, Atkins, VA. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Justin Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery, 4410 Lee Highway, Marion, VA.
