Ives Norman

IVES HOMER NORMAN, age 75 passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2010 in the Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion, Virginia. He was born in West Virginia to the late Rufus B. Norman & Nancy Ida Wade Norman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Levi, Lacy, & James Norman and a sister, Audrey Darnell. He had been a contractor for many years and was a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley Norman, Marion, Virginia; one son, Walter David Norman, Marion, Virginia; one daughter, Linda Gay Morse, Columbus, Georgia; one brother, Ronald Norman, Tampa, Florida; one sister, June Dillow, Chilhowie, Virginia; two grandchildren, Sherry Campbell and husband Mark and Michael Norman; special great-granddaughter, Cheyenne Campbell; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m., April 5, 2010 at Round Hill Cemetery with Reverend Billy Dean and Reverend Adam Blackwell officiating.
