SALTVILLE, Va.: JAMES "JIM" EVERETT BROYLES, SR. age 69, died Sunday, November 15, 2015 at his home.
Jim was a loving husband, father, and papaw. He never knew a stranger and if you were good friends, well you were special; and if you were family, you were very special. He loved his family with all his heart, mind and soul. Jim will be missed by many family and friends but he will be in their hearts forever.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Eldridge Broyles and Ellen Elizabeth Wickline Broyles of Lindside, West Va.; father and mother-in-law, Harry Lee and Mandy Robbins; brothers-in-law, Junior Robbins, Thurman Robbins, and David Olinger and several aunts and uncles.
Jim is survived by his wife, Merkie Uva Broyles of Saltville, Va.; one daughter, Mandy Ball and husband, Scott of Chilhowie, Va.; three sons, James Everett Broyles, Jr. and wife, Amy of Saltville, Va., Timothy Broyles and wife, Anna of Bristol, Va., and Freddie Broyles and wife, Jessica of Saltville, Va.; one brother, Richard "Dickie" Broyles of Lindside, WVa.; ten grandchildren, Adrian Williams and husband, T.J, Aisha Bentley, Tayler Broyles, Haley Broyles, Ethan Evans, Colson Broyles, twins, Stephen and Micah Ball, Sarah Ball and Hannah Ball; two great-grandchildren, Caden Williams and Mahaila Williams; and all his nieces and nephews who were very special to him.
The family will like to extend special thanks to the Mountain Home VA in Johnson City, Tn., Dr. O'Neil and Davita Dialysis Center in Marion, Va., his dialysis nurse, Vicky and to Home Nursing Company Inc. Hospice Palliative Care in Chilhowie, Va.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 7 p.m. at Lighthouse Baptist Church, Saltville, Va. with Pastor Benny Frye, Pastor R.L. "Popeye" Frye and Pastor Clarence Frye officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by Francis Marion VFW Post #4667. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the Lighthouse Baptist Church.
